For those of you who thought the Telco Ombudsman was exaggerating in his recent report that telco & internet service provider complaints are on the rise. At NGE, in the 12 months to October 2008, there were a total of 2,669 telecommunications related posts. Of these 48% of members said they were dissatisfied (41% very dissatisfied) and 42% said they were looking to switch (34% of which were desperate to move!!) – surely a great marketing opportunity for those telcos that watch the NGE forums, so why not ask the members or indeed make them an offer they can’t refuse…
